How often are babies late and by how much?

Like, I don't know! What am I, an encyclopedia?

In general, these days, the doctors don't like to let pregnancies go much beyond two weeks past the due date.

I'm told that first babies are often late. But, what does that mean? Like, half the time? I have no idea.
